831464 will not install

To determine the cause of the problem, please check the version of W3core.dll in both "C:\WINDOWS\System32\InetSrv" folder and "C:\WINDOWS\System32\dllcache" folder first.

If the version is 6.0.3790.0 and not 6.0.3790.99, please excute the following steps to fix this problem:

1. Reboot machine into safe mode.

2. While in Safe Mode, extract the hotfix download by running the command below:

<path>\WindowsServer2003-KB831464-x86-ENU.exe /x

3. Manually replace W3core.dll in the following folders:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\InetSrv & C:\WINDOWS\System32\dllcache.

4. Reboot the server and verify that the version in \Inetsrv folder is now the updated version.
